This fan group is personally acknowledged by Aw herself, and thus draws flocks of supporters from around Singapore. Jeanius organises fan gatherings with Aw annually, and this is one of the many activities that the Jeanius members look forward to, besides Aw’s appearances on TV or elsewhere.

Jeanette Aw is the youngest of her parents’ 3 children. She has an elder brother & sister. She graduated from National University
of Singapore. She was among the first newcomer actresses to be recruited by the now defunct MediaWorks in early 2001. She won the “Most Popular Newcomer Award” and and “Best Performer Award” that year.Later that year she was invited to co-star in a Taiwanese production. She left MediaWorks for MediaCorp in 2002.

Jeanette Aw became a star when she emerged as the champion in a talent search contest titled ‘Route To Glamour’ organised by the now defunct television network, MediaWorks. She entertained audiences with her trademark fresh, youthful image and sparkling smile. Jeanette ‘jumped ship’ to Mediaworks’ rival TV station, MediaCorp in 2002, to become one of its most radiant young stars. Currently managed jointly by Hype Company (Artiste Network) and MediaCorp, she is seen as one of the few potential successors for the respected title of “Ah Jie” (big-sister), now currently held by veteran actress Zoe Tay.

Aw gained recognition as an upcoming actress in the long running (125-episode) 2003 drama, Holland Village, in which she portrayed Mo Jing Jing, a simple, slightly absent-minded but kind-hearted girl.

# Occupation: actress, part time model, TV host
# Favorite TV Shows: jacky's show
# Zodiac Sign: Aquarius

Fiona Xie Said:

Getting started in modeling is not based on luck, but on hard work and dedication! Modeling agencies do have scouts that travel around and seek out potential models, but you could be waiting forever to be found by one. You must take the steps to get started! Some basic ideas that you should consider when planning your entry into the modeling industry. It is not an all inclusive guide, but it should get you started down the right path. If you are under 18 years old, then seek the help of your parents. They will have to represent you when contacting agencies, etc...

If you want to be a model, then you should feel comfortable looking like a model. Modeling is more than sitting in front of camera and smiling. Modeling is how you carry yourself around the public (and potential employers). Make it a point to dress nice for all occasions (don't wear baggy clothing, baseball caps, sweat pants, or anything else that might look trashy) and, if female, apply your make-up to today's fashion standards. If you are the least bit uncertain about how to dress nicely, or how to apply make-up correctly, you might want to consider a fashion consultant, make-up artist, or modeling school who can teach you. The more often you dress nice and fashionably, the more comfortable you'll feel.

This comfort, coupled with experience and training, will build confidence! This confidence with show through during photo shoots, meetings with modeling agencies, and possible employers. Most importantly, always be friendly and polite (and not conceited). This will carry you far.
